Punjab '95 is based on the life of Jaswant Singh Khalra. The film grabbed the headlines last year when it faced challenges with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), which recommended between 85 to 120 cuts.
As per a report in Mid-Day, the censor board asked to remove Khalra’s name from the film.
The Harmanpreet Singh-led side scored its first goal just in the second minute of the match via Sukhjeet Singh. This was in fact the first significant chance created in the match by any side.
Both teams started off strong, looking to break each others' back line in the first quarter but no team were able to breach the barrier.
a slotAs per reportsacegame888, CBFC has also asked the makers, Honey Trehan and Ronnie Screwvala, to reconsider the title of the film, which references the year Khalra disappeared. Khalra went missing in September 1995, and after 10 years, six Punjab police officers were convicted for his murder.
