MANILA, Philippines — Firecracker-related injuries increased to 843 as the Department of Health (DOH) concluded its monitoring of firecracker incidents on Monday.

The DOH started its firecracker monitoring on December 22, 2024, and ended it at 6 a.m. on January 6, noting a 38 percent hike in injuries caused by firecrackers compared to the 610 cases documented in the same period previously.
