"I really missed the semi-final because of the one-match suspension. It was such a crucial match," the 31-year-old India's defensive mainstay told PTI in an exclusive interview during the team's felicitation at the India House here on Saturday.

Right after their touchdown, family members greeted the players with garlands and warm hugs, before accepting congratulations from the state political leaders such as minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal and Congress MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla.

The BJP has named 29 candidates in its first list. The 70-member Delhi Assembly will go into polls in 2025 but the Election Commission of India is yet to announce the dates. As per reports, the polls might be conducted in February this year.

Three Army personnel died on Saturday while two others were injured when their vehicle lost control and fell into a gorge in Jammu and Kashmir's Bandipora district.

According to the officials, the accident took place when the driver of the Army truck lost control while trying to negotiate a sharp curve near the Sadar Koot Payen area in the district. The vehicle, according to PTI, skidded off the road and fell into a gorge.
